Night Crawler

Night Crawler

“We're all reapers and angels. There's no difference in this line of work.

And we must be both. Danger has so many names, faces, schemes, plots…

Sometimes we must react to the danger. Sometimes we must go out and find it.

Reapers and angels. The sword and the shield.

At all hours.”

Law enforcement officers and active duty military personnel wear the American flag on their shoulders as a reminder of what’s at stake. It reminds them to be courageous, to accept the heavy responsibility of each moment in uniform, and to Never Fucking Quit.

All hours. All year long. All our lives.

Courage, responsibility, perseverance.

Because there’s a lot at stake.

And so some men and women don’t sleep the same hours as civilians. Some men and women must be awake long after the sun has set. Some men and women must kick down doors, confront danger, and make hard decisions by flashlight, or moonlight.

Some men and women decide each night to put the uniform on and accept the heavy responsibility.

While their friends, families, and communities sleep, some men and women patrol, respond, and defend. They work in middle America suburbs, along our international borders, and throughout the hardest places in the world.

Night Crawlers.

Flashlights off. Radio silence. Careful footsteps.

Until the call comes through.

All hours. All year long. All our lives.

Night Crawler pays homage to these men and women. Real photos from training and duty.

For there is no liberty without hard nights, good fights, and living, breathing courage.

Remember their nightly sacrifices before you go to sleep.

And say THANK YOU when you have the opportunity.
